From early 2013, Thom Stuart and Rinus Sprong, artistic directors of De Dutch Don’t Dance Division (DeDDDD), put their years of experience in training, coaching and advising promising young dancers into the dancers of De Dutch Junior Dance Division. This talent development program gives dancers the chance to intensively train and focus on their dance technique, (re)presentation, cultural entrepreneurship, professionalism, versatility and insights into their dance career. What do we offer?
Work and stage experience; the chance to dance (demi-)soloist roles in a wide variety of productions by DeDDDD and partners. About De Dutch Don’t Dance Division
De Dutch Don’t Dance Division’s (DeDDDD) main goal is to create and produce multi-disciplinary dance performances for regular theaters, but also on special locations and various festivals. The dance company is based in The Hague and was founded by Rinus Sprong and Thom Stuart in 1996.
 DeDDDD wants to interest a broad and new public for dance and also enlarge the cooperation between professional and non-professional dancers. Education, artistic quality and sense of humor are important elements in their way of working. Stuart and Sprong are known by the general audience for their performances in ‘The Ultimate Dance Battle’ and ‘Everybody Dance Now’, where they both reached the finals, and for the choreography that they made for the world tour of Armin van Buuren ‘Armin Only Intense’.

DeDDDD annually organizes the Dutch Summer Dance Course, a bi-weekly summer dance course for young and old, professional and amateur dancers. Every December, DeDDDD produces a Christmas Ballet (2014: Christmas Spectacular: ‘Dancing in a Winter Wonderland’) that showed at the Lucent Danstheater.
 Additionally, throughout the year, DeDDDD produces various professional performances in both theaters and venues, commercial activities (company presentations, etc.) and other performances on a project basis. DeDDDD cooperates with a.o. Holland Dance, Opera2Day, Lucent Danstheater, Festival Classique, Koninklijk Conservatorium, Metropole Orkest, Residentie Orkest and many more.


Ballet 5:8 is seeking to offer trainee positions to qualified male and female applicants. Applications are being accepted until positions are filled.

The Ballet 5:8 Trainee Program is a dynamic 2-year training program that allows a select group of dancers to put the finishing touches on their training alongside the Ballet 5:8 professional company. Students accepted spend mornings in technique class and rehearsals alongside the Ballet 5:8 professional company and attend a range of supplementary classes in the afternoons five days per week, August - May. Open by audition only to dancers ages 18-24 with a solid background in classical ballet, the Trainee Program prepares promising students for careers with Ballet 5:8 and other professional dance companies. In the three short years of the program, our graduates have already been accepted into the Kirov Academy year-round program, Joffrey Ballet Trainee program and the Ballet 5:8 Company.

Program Content
Trainee Program students attend ballet technique and pointe daily based on Ballet 5:8's unique style grounded in classical Vaganova technique but seasoned with the powerful and athletic demands of today's professional dance world. Students then spend their afternoons in rehearsals along with the professional company and a rotation of classes including variations, repertoire, jazz, modern, improv, PiYo, weights training, stretching, acting and mime, port de bras, and pas de deux. Additional academic classes include dance history, music theory, anatomy, injury prevention and Bible study.

Ballet 5:8 Trainees perform regularly in outreach settings and with Ballet 5:8 School of the Arts. Trainees also have the opportunity to be cast in performance opportunities alongside the Ballet 5:8 Professional Company, including touring opportunities. Trainees have the opportunity to perform new works frequently, and also work with a variety of choreographers throughout the year.

Competitive applicants will have strong classical and contemporary vocabularies, and confidence with pas de deux work. Applicants must be a US citizen (or hold a green card or work permit), and are preferably 5’9” and up. Additional skills of interest (desired but not requisite): Choreography, arts education, arts administration, dance instruction (ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, pas de deux, and/or hip-hop). Vaganova experience preferred.

Paradosi Ballet Company is seeking ballet dancers for trainee and apprentice positions for the 2015/2016 Season. Paradosi Ballet Company is the Pacific Northwest's first professional Christian ballet company that was founded in 2007 by directors Joel and Tennille Carver. The Touring Company of Paradosi's primary goal is to share the love of Christ through dance, drama and personal witness while displaying excellence in the arts. The Touring Company primarily tours along the West Coast of the United States, but it also tours across the country and internationally.

The Trainee Company of Paradosi Ballet was established to train, mentor and disciple the next generation of Christian ballet dancers to join Paradosi's Touring Company or to serve in other areas of ministry. The Trainee Program is a two-year ballet vocational program; however, some students graduate in as little as one year or take as long as three years depending on effort and skill level demonstrated. Trainees will dance their own repertoire at programs Tacoma/Seattle region as well as occasionally dance alongside the Touring Company in some of their story ballets.

Moxie Contemporary Ballet's Summer Intensive program is a rigorous intensive that inspires, nurtures and refines dancers both technically and artistically.  Our renowned and knowledgeable faculty gives individualized guidance to help each dancer learn how to work with their own bodies. While developing and refining a pure technical foundation, dancers are challenged through collaboration to explore their own technical and artistic potential.

Our goal is to give dancers the knowledge and tools to care for their bodies, problem solve, and become the best version of themselves.  With classical ballet as our foundation, dancers are inspired through process based movement.  Methods for injury prevention and longevity are reinforced through a kinesthetic understanding of technique and movement. Our goal is to train independent thinking, artistically innovative, and technical sound dancers capable of effortlessly transitioning into the professional world of dance.

Dancers benefit from a small student-to-teacher ratio and train a minimum of 40 hours per week. And dancers will have the opportunity to take master classes in conditioning and injury prevention with Artistic Director, Gina Candland. Faculty collaborates with the dancers to create innovative new works performed at the end of each session on one of Portland's 5 Theatre stages.

Expert Panel Q&A Discussions
Each week on Saturday afternoons, dancers will have the rare opportunity to attend our Expert Panel Q&A Discussions. Faculty and guest faculty will lead the the conversation on a variety of topics and dancers will be able to openly ask questions in regards to auditioning, taking class, headshots, pointe shoes and more.
