Charleston City Ballet is looking for three male dancers with strong classical training for immediate work to finish out our 2014 season. You must be available September 29 through November 15, 2014. Our season will end November 15. These Male dancers will be looked at for a long term contract starting in 2015. Housing, shoes, and compensation will be provided.

Twin Cities Ballet of Minnesota (TCB) is seeking men for its 2014-15 season. Seeking:


1) A professional male dancer for the 2014–15 season as a full company member salaried employee, from September 2014 to mid-May 2015, approximately 32 weeks.

2) Nutcracker: Male dancer to perform the title role of Nutcracker, AND one or more additional men for Act I party scene. TCB's Nutcracker and other major performances are at the beautiful 1,000-seat Ames Center (formerly Burnsville Performing Arts Center), December 12-14, 2014.

3) Company Trainee: opening for a talented advanced male student to both train with TCB's official school, Ballet Royale Minnesota, in its Professional Trainee Division day program with educational financial-aid packet, and take class and dance with TCB company members for the 2014-2015 season.

Applicants must have advanced classical ballet and contemporary (modern) technique, strong performance skills, have an excellent work ethic and a desire to continually grow and advance both technically and artistically. Dancers will receive company class each weekday afternoon, with rehearsals primarily on the weekends during non-performance weeks. Expect to participate in TCB's The Nutcracker and a new spring production in May at the south metro's premier professional theater, the Ames Center, as well as other smaller venues doing shorter, mixed-genre pieces as opportunities arise throughout the year.


Interested dancers should be prepared to submit two photos (headshot and in first arabesque, in dance clothes or costume that does not obscure line and form), a short resume, and video links of class and/or performances in different genres. They must be eligible to work in the United States, and after preliminary assessment and conversations would be able to personally audition in Minnesota or at a scheduled live audition prior to receiving any contract. Dissonance Dance Theatre in Washington, DC, is looking for female and male dancers who are talented, professional and hard-working for our upcoming 2014-2015 season, featuring new classical and contemporary works from Adam Sage (Missouri Ballet Theatre/Nashville Ballet), Michelle Sloan (Dance Theatre of Harlem) and DDT'S Principal Choreographer Shawn Short. Dissonance Dance Theatre company members receive performance stipends. Apprentices are non-paid positions.

Female dancers must be no taller than 5'6, have pointe training/experience, and be able to relocate to DC if selected.

Ballet 2021 in Yerevan, Armenia, is seeking strong and versatile male and female professional dancers for 28–38 week contracts, starting October 20. Wheatland Dance Theater, located in the western suburbs of Chicago, IL, is auditioning dancers for its inaugural production of The Nutcracker. We are looking for four male dancers and one principal couple. Dancers are paid by the show, and a travel allowance/per diem will be available. Proia Dance Project is an exciting new company forming in Atlanta, Georgia. Led by artistic director Alexandre Proia, PDP is a laboratory for new choreography and compositions, from the abstract to the sensorial. Male and female dancers wanted for Pointe Barre LONDON event series. "Exotic Ballet with an Urban Twist,"  Pointe Barre is a six-part event series hosted in New York City from March-August and in London, UK, from September-February. All events are held on the last Thursday of every month.

The events are truly unique. We hold them at different locations, with world premier choreography each month. We have created a new stages for ballet dancers of diverse backgrounds and created an avenue for the art form of Ballet to be easily accessible to diverse audiences in intimate, non traditional settings.

Ballet Theatre Company and Exit12 Dance Company is holding an audition for Exit12's 2014-2015 season and The Nutcracker, directed by Roman Baca and produced by Ballet Theater Company.  Positions offer paid rehearsals, company class, per diem and performance stipend. BTC’s performance season consists of an annual Nutcracker performance and a spring performance, as well as other community performances.  Exit12’s relevant and innovative repertoire is touring to five locations around the United States and is honored to be performing at the 92nd Street Y in January. Rehearsals are in NYC two days a week, and dancers will be required to commit to a full production week Dec. 15-21 for performances of the Nutcracker in West Hartford, CT.  More information can be found at


ROZBARK Dance and Movement Theatre in Bytom, Poland, is looking for a versatile male contemporary dancer for the production "This Is Not a Love Song,” choreographed by Uri Ivgi & Johan Greben (Ivgi&Greben).
