Back To The Studio

My studio’s holiday performance took place mid-December. My class performed “Dance of the Hours” from Coppélia, and I was lucky enough to perform one of three variations (as a Pointe intern, I wrote about my rehearsals in ClubPointe). The performance took place in a studio at Steps on Broadway in New York City, so the 200 or so people in the audience were squeezed in tightly. The funniest part about a studio performance at Steps is that the audience can see all the way into the wings! We had to be careful not to do anything silly both onstage and offstage. Everything went well, and it was really fun. Now we are rehearsing for two upcoming shows in the spring. You can read about what I’m up to in an upcoming edition of ClubPointe. In the meantime, tell us about your holiday performances!
