Dancemedia

Have you entered Dance Magazine's Joffrey Ballet School scholarship contest yet? Five dancers won full rides to Joffrey summer intensives through dancemedia.com in January, and ten won in February. This month is your last chance—and with 15 scholarships up for grabs, it's also your best chance!

Perfect your fondu: Watch a special tutorial from School of American Ballet faculty member Suki Schorer at dancemedia.com. Our sister publication Dance Teacher has a fantastic how-to clip with the iconic Balanchine teacher. Hear her tips on tempo, line and placement—and then get to the barre to put them in action!

The only thing better than getting into a great summer intensive? Winning a full scholarship. The Joffrey Ballet School has teamed up with our sister publication Dance Magazine to offer 30 promising students full-tuition scholarships to Joffrey Ballet School programs, including Joffrey Ballet Intensive NYC, Joffrey West LA, Joffrey Jazz & Contemporary NYC, Joffrey NYC Young Dancer Program, Joffrey Southwest Dallas and Joffrey Miami. There's no need to audition.

When DanceMedia launched four years ago, we had no idea what would show up on the site. But the Pointe Video of the Month contest has ended up attracting some of the most amazing ballet clips on the web. We've gotten a peek inside The Joffrey dancing Lar Lubovitch's Othello.

Producing a show in New York is many choreographers' Mount Everest: the ultimate challenge, the ultimate dream. The Capezio A.C.E. Award, presented by DanceMedia, will give one talented dancemaker $15,000 to use toward their own NYC performance.  Two runners up will recieve $5,000 and $3,000, respectively. Previous winners include Travis Wall and Peter Chu.

Calling all choreographers! You can win $15,000 towards your own show in NYC. All you've got to do is enter a clip of your choreography in the Capezio A.C.E. Award contest on dancemedia.com by the end of this week. Fifteen finalists will be invited to perform at the Dance Teacher Summit in New York on July 30, where one winner and two runners up will be selected by a panel of esteemed judges.
