Steps on Broadway

New York City's Steps on Broadway (with P3Productions) is putting together a new reality tv show that will follow the personal journeys of a handful of Steps regulars. They are currently casting dancers to film a reel to send out in hopes of getting picked up.

The producers want New York City-based dancers (ages 17 and up) of all genres. Any professional, student, retired dancer or dance teacher who makes Steps a regular part of their life is invited to apply. Filming will start this summer.

Are you searching for a company contract? Auditions are tough, especially in this economy. Anything you can do to get a leg up is worth it.

The School at Steps in New York City is hosting a pointe shoe workshop at their studios next Saturday. This year's event is geared toward dancers who are just starting out on pointe, but all levels are invited to attend. Hear from podiatrists, expert pointe shoe fitters, master teachers and professional dancers. After the discussion, representatives from Capezio, Freed, Grishko, Gaynor Minden and Sansha will be on hand to speak with dancers about their shoes and let them try on a variety of styles.

Date: October 15

Time: 5 to 7:30 pm
