Class with the Superstars

November 28, 2001

Sundays in Indiana just got a whole lot more interesting. Ballet greats will be flocking to the state over the next few months to participate in Indianapolis City Ballet’s Master Class series. SAB’s Darci Kistler, ABT’s Irina Dvorovenko and Maxim Beloserkovsky, JKO’s Franco De Vita, NYCB’s Wendy Whelan and Daniel Ulbricht, John Cranko School director Tadeusz Matacz—these are some legit “masters” offering technique class. Enrollment is limited to 30 intermediate to advanced dancers per class, which includes 90 minutes of ballet technique followed by a Q&A. Students who attended the series in the past have since gone on to train at the John Cranko School, SAB, Houston Ballet and other top programs. Classes cost $30, and fill up quickly.
