Cultivate Your Inner Choreographer

November 28, 2001

If you dream of exploring your voice as a choreographer, you might want to check out Boston Ballet’s Choreographic Intensive. The program, which runs July 30-August 4, gives advanced dancers ages 18-24 a chance to translate their ideas into movement with Helen Pickett and Jorma Elo as their guides. (Check out former student Leah Hirsch’s guest blog about the intensive during its inaugural year). Dancers take daily ballet, Forsythe improvisation and choreography classes, then split up into smaller groups to create their own work every afternoon. Tuition is $900, with an additional $380 for housing. Admission to the intensive is by invitation and recommendation only. Spots are filling up, so contact [email protected] or 617-456-6298 for info on how to register.
