New NYIBC Perk

November 28, 2001

The New York International Ballet Competition has long been a favorite launch pad for dancers looking to jumpstart their careers. Not only is it artistic director bait, with some of ballet’s most powerful players in the audience at each round, but American Ballet Theatre and Joffrey Ballet regularly offer one-year contracts to the competitors of their choice. Talk about a career-making competition! Now, NYIBC has yet another drool-worthy prize on the line: a contract with Boston Ballet II, to be offered at the discretion of artistic director Mikko Nissinen for the first time in 2013. Sound enticing? Hurry up and apply now—the registration deadline is December 15.
