President Obama Appoints Misty Copeland

The world can’t get enough of Misty Copeland. As we announced last week, she will grace the cover of our June/July issue alongside beauties Ebony Williams and Ashley Murphy. (The issue hasn’t even been released, but it’s getting a ton of buzz. Make sure you get your copy!)
It turns out, the President—yes we do mean Barack Obama—finds Copeland as exceptional of an artist and role model as we do. President Obama announced last week that the ABT soloist will be appointed a member of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition. Some of the other Council hot shots include Brooklyn Nets basketball player Jason Collins and Food Network celebrity chef Rachael Ray.
