SFB For Free

November 28, 2001

There’s so much great dance going on outdoors this time of year. Jacob’s Pillow, Summerstage, Saratoga Springs, Wolf Trap, Vail, the list seems endless. In addition to the thrill of seeing dancers leap among the leaves, one of the best parts is that many of these events are offered for free!

If you’re in the Bay Area, be sure to catch San Francisco Ballet’s annual free, open-air concert at the Stern Grove Festival next Sunday. Company members will be performing Balanchine’s Symphony in C, Helgi Tomasson’s 7 For Eight, Francisco Martinez’ Andante Sostenuto and Timepiece by corps member Myles Thatcher. The performance begins at 2 pm, but arrive early to snag a good spot.
