#TBT Video: Kirkland and Baryshnikov

American Ballet Theatre is dancing Theme and Variations, made for the company by Balanchine in 1947, this fall season. To celebrate, I thought I’d share one of my favorite Theme interpretations of all time: that of Gelsey Kirkland and Mikhail Baryshnikov. Here they are dancing the masterpiece in 1978.
