Cincinnati Ballet has tapped some high-powered talent for its 50th-anniversary season: Christopher Stowell, who recently stepped down as artistic director of Oregon Ballet Theatre, and William Whitener, who recently left his Kansas City Ballet artistic director post, will both join the company as guest ballet masters, along with Balanchine repetiteur Paul Boos.
Cincinnati Ballet is gearing up for its 50th anniversary season next year. To prepare, they’re giving away free ice cream to anyone willing to donate historic Cincinnati Ballet paraphernalia—photos, newspaper clippings, recollections, programs, memorabilia and ticket stubs at least five years old. The event takes place this Sunday from 2 to 4 pm at the Cincinnati Ballet Center.
