Tap-Dance History Inspires Micaela Taylor’s New Work for English National Ballet, Bow Out

by Kathryn Holmes | Sep 15, 2026

A black-and-white photo of dancers rehearsing a contemporary ballet in a large studio. Closest, one dancer kneels with one arm on his propped knee and his other reaching forward so his hand touches his partner's ankle. The second dancer lifts one leg front, slightly bent, with her arms to the side and her torso leaning back, concave in the upper chest. Other dancers rehearse or watch behind them.
