SAHARAVA: A RITUALIZED DANCE-OPERA is looking for six dancers, men and women, with strong ballet and modern training who feel comfortable vocalizing, for an evening length work premiering at the NYC International Fringe Festival. Classical Ballet Academy in Los Angeles, Pasadena Foothills is seeking men & women of advanced-professional caliber for their 2012 Nutcracker. Great for those who wish to receive excellent training with a full schedule of classes along with rehearsals. Training and rehearsals begin in late June and continue through December 2012 with a small break in August. Classes and rehearsals are held Tuesday–Friday after 4pm and Saturdays after 11:30 am (2.5 - 4 hours per day).

Perceptions Dance will hold an open audition for a one-year contract. In preparation for the open audition, Perceptions Dance will be holding a 4 day workshop intensive where interested dancers will learn repertoire. It is highly recommended that dancers attend at least one workshop day prior to attending open auditions, as auditions will incorporate repertoire sections directly from the workshop.
Dancers who pre-register and attend all 4 workshop days do not have to attend the open call audition on Friday.
Perceptions Dance is looking for creative, athletic, energetic, and extremely physical professional dancers with strong modern and ballet technique for a series of projects and performances in the New York area. Contracts will last up to one year in length, ending no later then June 30th, 2013 as Perceptions Dance ends their New York residence. Dancers should be interested in working with professional choreographers within an emerging company. We are looking for dancers who want to be a part of a growing company, who can commit to projects and have a strong passion towards helping develop the company further. Dancers must be open minded, willing to contribute and committed to the process. Dancers interested in assisting administratively will also have the opportunity to join Project AUM and potentially train with Studio Anya & Perceptions Dance in Pilates, Yoga and PD & Anya's signature collaborative class Lila.
Tentative summer & fall performance dates include June 6th, August, November, and possible Boston tour in October, with additional performance dates and events possible. In addition, dancers may need to be available for our summer residency June 21st - June 24th. Rehearsals will be weekly depending on performance dates - Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am-2pm. Exact times may vary.

TheMASSIVE will be casting Actors, Dancers, and a Gospel Singer for its production of MACBETH.
Executive Artistic Director Kyle Vincent Terry is putting its own spin on Shakespeare's shortest, but one of his bloodiest, tragedies, Macbeth. This tale of a man caught between the coveting of power and the possession of it is re-imagined as a 1930's Dust Bowl-era play, with the flair of a "Spaghetti Western" film. Set in a Kansas town where water is at a premium, but lives aren't, the characters range from the destitute to the newly-rich, the Christian to Kiowa Native, the insane to the...well, insane.
Macbeth will run Thursdays-Sundays, October 12-November 4, 2012, in The Thrust space at Stage 773 (1225 West Belmont Avenue).

Seeking: 10-12 dancers to be witches. Strong, emotive movers, preferably of Latin or Native American appearance. Ability to learn choreography quickly is a must but pointed toes are unnecessary. Movement is rooted in traditional tribal dance. Ability to imbue simple steps with deep emotion and find the beat is most important.
