2015 U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts Honors Two Ballet Dancers

November 28, 2001

High school students and ballet dancers Adam Bernstein and Daniela O’Neil have been named 2015 Presidential Scholars in the Arts—one of the highest honors available to high school students. The third Presidential Scholar in dance is Anagha Prasanna, a classical Indian dancer.

The dancers, along with other Presidential Scholars in the arts, will perform in a concert in Washington, D.C. on June 22. The concert celebrates all 141 Presidential Scholars but serves to highlight those honored for their success in the arts—including music, theater and voice, as well as dance.

All Presidential Scholars in the Arts were also YoungArts winners. Click here to learn how to apply for the 2016 YoungArts Foundation award.
