Caroline Tonks

Originally from Long Island, New York, Caroline began dancing at the age of five under Karen Lynch of the Lynch School of Ballet. After graduating high school a year early, she was accepted into the prestigious Indiana University Ballet Theater, where she performed numerous principal and soloist roles, including The Ballerina in Twyla Tharp’s "Deuce Coupe," First Song Soloist in Anthony Tudor’s "Dark Elegies," the Piccolo in Jerome Robbins’ "Fanfare," and a soloist in Mark Morris’ "Sandpaper Ballet." Upon graduation in May 2020, Caroline accepted an apprenticeship with Ballet Tucson, before being furloughed due to Covid-19. From there, she decided to retire from dance, and moved to London to pursue her Master’s in Magazine Journalism at City, University of London. She is currently working in the UK as a journalist.
