Michael Henry Shavelle

Michael Shavelle is Pointe’s 2025 summer editorial intern.. Originally from Los Angeles, CA, he trained pre-professionally in the Dance Academy at the Colburn School under the direction of Silas Farley. He is currently a student at Columbia University pursuing a degree in English. Michael has continued performing with student groups at Columbia and the Barnard Dance Department. He also serves as the editor in chief of Columbia University Fashion Society’s online publication as well as the social media manager of Columbia Repertory Ballet.
