Dancing To Remember

Calling all NYC dancers: Dance/NYC, Buglisi Dance Theatre and The September Project are collaborating on a new work to commemorate the tenth anniversary of 9/11. The Table of Silence Project, to take place at Lincoln Center will be an opportunity for the New York dance community to gather and, through dance, offer a prayer to the city.

Professional dancers are invited to an open call at Steps on Broadway on August 16 and 17, from 9 pm to 11 pm. (Interested participants should send an email with the subject line “Table of Silence Project” to [email protected] with your name, email, telephone number and a brief bio.) Up to 70 dancers will be allowed to participate. Rehearsals will take place August 23, 24 and 25 from 10 am to 1 pm at Baryshnikov Arts Center, as well as September 6, 7, and 10.

The performances will happen on September 11 at 8:15 am and 8:46 am.
