Originally from Australia, Caroline holds a BA in History and English (Goldsmiths University), an MA in World History and Cultures (King's College London), and is currently working on her PhD. Caroline is a specialist in early 20th century ballet and the evolution of dance costume, and initially trained as a costume maker in Canada. She has worked as historical researcher for designer Richard Hudson on the ballets The Golden Cockerel (Royal Danish Ballet) and The Sleeping Beauty (American Ballet Theatre). Most recently Caroline was a research fellow at Jacob's Pillow cataloguing the archive's historic costume collection and co-curator for the exhibition Dance We Must: Treasures from Jacob's Pillow, 1906-1940.
