Dancing the Human Brain

November 28, 2001

The most recent TED Conference, in Vancouver, Canada, recently came to a close. But the TED (technology, entertainment, design) organization—whose conferences feature all kinds of innovative presentations—isn’t done sharing, as its slogan states, “ideas worth spreading.”

Yesterday a post on the TED blog highlighted a collaboration that, though it actually happened in 2011, is new to us, and definitely “worth spreading”: Dutch National Ballet teamed up with members of Amsterdam’s creative community to create a living model of the human brain. Sound weird? It is, a little. But it’s also a kind of brilliant way to depict the pulsing, buzzing life of one of our busiest organs. Take a look!
