Wendy Whelan's NPR Interview

Dance lovers around the country are bracing themselves for Wendy Whelan’s farewell performance with New York City Ballet on Saturday, October 18. Today, NPR’s Morning Edition featured an interview with the iconic ballerina, including comments from choreographer Christopher Wheeldon.

Even though Whelan has had many opportunities to conduct interviews throughout her career, it’s always special to hear her voice—particularly in an interview made for the radio, in which music, voices and sounds from the background all contribute to the story. Listen in, here.
