Get Excited—World Ballet Day 2022 Is on November 2!
Bunheads, prepare! World Ballet Day is back for its ninth year of broadcasting ballet across the globe. This year’s annual celebration of streamed classes, rehearsals and performance previews worldwide will take place on November 2.
Viewers can tune in to livestreamed content from over 60 companies on participants’ YouTube and Facebook channels; the World Ballet Day website provides a list that links directly to each organization’s YouTube channel. Viewers can also watch highlights of the day via the WBD YouTube channel and on TikTok.
The 24-hour livestream kicks off with The Australian Ballet at 11 am AEDT (that’s 8 pm EDT/5 pm PDT on November 1 in North America). While the lineup of participating companies and their respective streaming schedules is being continually updated, the list below is what WBD has announced so far. This year, the Bolshoi Ballet will not be participating in the livestreams, nor will it join The Royal Ballet and The Australian Ballet in hosting the event as it has done in the past.
